Stafford's four TD passes lead Predators past Wranglers

Mar 17, 2007 - 5:46 AM ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- Shane Stafford threw for 200 yards and four touchdowns as the Orlando Predators posted a 45-30 win over the Austin Wranglers.

Stafford, who completed 19-of-25 passes, forged a 7-7 tie midway through he first quarter with a 14-yard strike to Jarvarus Dudley.

Dudley and Marlon Moye-Moore rushed for first-half touchdowns to give Orlando (2-1) a 21-7 advantage with 76 seconds left in the second quarter.

However, Austin quickly closed the gap as Adrian McPherson hit Otis Amey for a 31-yard score with 10 seconds left and Nate Coggins recovered a fumble in the end zone to enable the Wranglers to get within 21-20 at halftime

Stafford's six-yard touchdown pass to DeAndrew Rubin in the third quarter and four-yard toss to Rubin put the Predators up 38-27 with 6:08 remaining. The Orlando quarterback also connected with Dudley on a 10-yard touchdown with 53 seconds left.

McPherson was 23-of-39 passes for 220 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions for Austin (1-2).
