Dolezel, Desperados have their way with Crush

Jun 26, 2007 - 6:02 AM DENVER (Ticker) -- Clint Dolezel threw eight touchdown passes to lead the Dallas Desperados to a 77-58 victory over the Colorado Crush on Monday.

Dallas (15-1), which scored 21 points in each of the first three quarters, never trailed and led, 42-23, at the half.

Dolezel completed 21-of-31 passes for 244 yards and was not intercepted. He threw three TD passes to Dialleo Burks and Will Pettis while Andrae Thurman hauled in a pair of scoring strikes.

John Dutton was 21-of-29 for 284 yards and four TDs for Colorado (8-8). Brandon Kirsch came on in the fourth quarter and threw a pair of TD passes and ran for another score for the Crush.

Dolezel threw for two scores in the first quarter and Pettis returned a kickoff 40 yards for a TD as Dallas opened a 21-3 lead with 5:09 to play in the quarter.

Colorado got within 21-17 on a TD pass by Dutton early in the second quarter, but Dolezel threw for two quick scores and Dallas rolled thereafter.
