Philyaw throws 8 TDs in rout
May 13, 2007 - 3:23 AM KANSAS CITY (Ticker) -- Raymond Philyaw passed for eight touchdowns as the Kansas City Brigade cruised to a 60-41 triumph over the Utah Blaze.Utah (5-6) tied the game, 7-7, on a four-yard touchdown run by Tom Page with 7:47 remaining in the first quarter but then failed to score until their first possession of the second half.
Philyaw completed 20-of-27 passes for 263 yards. Anthony Hines had seven receptions for 125 yards and two scores and Boo Williams added three touchdown catches for the Brigade (6-4), who took a 40-7 lead into the break.
Kenny McIntyre and Nick Ward each had two interceptions for the Kansas City defense.
Joe Germaine passed for 325 yards and five touchdowns but was intercepted four times for the Blaze, who have lost four straight.
Siaha Burley hauled in 11 catches for 124 yards and three scores for Utah.
