Germaine guides Blaze to first win of season
May 4, 2008 - 4:27 AM SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- Joe Germaine threw for eight touchdowns and ran for another score to lead the Utah Blaze to a 67-50 victory over the Kansas City Brigade on Saturday.Germaine finished 24-of-30 for 337 yards for the Blaze (1-9), who notched their first win of the season.
Huey Whittaker had 11 catches for 117 yards and four touchdowns while J.J. McKelvey added six catches for 88 yards and two more scores for Utah.
D. Bryant finished 30-of-37 for 266 yards and five touchdowns for the Brigade (1-8) while Ce'Sare Manning recorded 13 catches for 128 yards and two TDs.
