White scores five TDs as Desperados top Brigade
Mar 17, 2007 - 5:38 AM KANSAS CITY (Ticker) -- Josh White rushed for five touchdowns and Clint Dolezel threw for three more as the Dallas Desperados posted a 66-54 triumph over the Kansas City Brigade.Dallas (3-0) opened a season with three wins for the second time in franchise history by winning for the ninth time in 10 road games. The Desperados have the league's best record over the last 21 games (17-4).
White gained 41 yards on 13 carries and tied the league's single-game TD record, last accomplished by Leroy Thompson of the Indiana Firebirds on July 20, 2002.
The Desperados jumped to a 14-0 lead on a pair of first-quarter touchdowns by White, who scored three more in the second half.
Dolezel completed 18-of-23 passes for 212 yards, including a pair of TDs to Marcus Nash, who had 10 receptions for 169 yards.
Raymond Philyaw was 22-of-34 for 254 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions for Kansas City (1-1).
