Late score gives Desperados eighth victory

Apr 28, 2007 - 5:55 AM DALLAS (Ticker) -- Will Pettis caught an eight-yard touchdown pass from Clint Dolezel with two seconds left to lift the Dallas Desperados to a 69-62 triumph over the Nashville Kats.

The Kats (4-5) received three rushing touchdowns from Dan Alexander, who set an Arena League record for most rushing touchdowns in a season with 27, surpassing Bernard Hall.

Dolezel passed for 312 yards and seven touchdowns. Marcus Nash had nine receptions for 95 yards and three touchdowns and Andre Thurman had five for 101 and a score for Dallas (8-1), which remain in first place in the Eastern Division.

Nashville tied the game with 6:27 remaining on a seven-yard pass from Jeff Smoker to Kenny Higgins, who caught eight passes for 137 yards and three touchdowns.
